Monitoring of an asynchronous circuit for safety and reliability

CDSI

-

Keywords: asyncrhonous circuits, security, monitoring, reliability

Study of an asynchronous circuit incorporating protection and monitoring mechanisms to guarantee safe and/or reliability operation. Asynchronous circuit structure allows following data propagating in the circuit. This remarkable property makes possible to monitor circuit operations and detect potential failures at an early stage. A strategy for monitoring asynchronous circuits is therefore possible. This approach will be studied and analyzed in details in order to define a method that could be systematically used for circuits requiring robustness or dependability.
