Abstract

This work evaluates the advantages to migrate to Many-Core Processor in a Nanosat platform. Have evidence about the robustness of many-core processors, it have a new horizon about the uses of nanosats, because the energy savings, fault tolerant and increases of processing power, it enable to manage on a single chip, different kind of process on a satellite such as Power Management (PM), Attitude Control (AC), Communications (Comm), and Image Preprocessing. (IP), doing all on a single On Board Computer (OBC). Before this new stage, is investigated on the application of many-core processors in the development of platforms of nano satellites for the analysis of images of the space in search of new stars and planets. Also the investigation includes the formation of a network of nano satellite able to communicate with each other and with the Ground Station, to generate a redundancy in a mesh topology network on a low orbit (LEO).
